Add chicken, eggs, fish, lots of fruits and green vegetables to your daily diet.

After pregnancy, a woman’s body needs lots of calcium so it is best to include calcium rich food items such as milk, curd, dairy products, etc in your diet. Make sure that your diet is enriched in sources of carbohydrates such as oats, corn flakes, etc. Protein rich food items will help you regain your energy levels in a quick way. If your baby is breastfeeding, include food items rich in minerals and vitamins. Avoid intake of fatty and oily food items as much as possible.

Apart from these, one can also indulge in swimming and light aerobics a few days after birth to the baby.

Normally it is hard to sleep long hours as newborns require feeding and attention from time to time. One way of addressing this problem is to try to take required hours of sleep by breaking them into short naps.
