    Hello All,

My son is 5 years old and we are staying in Delhi. Recent events in Delhi have caused great concern for my wife regarding the safety of our son at school and outside. My friend suggested using a GPS tracker to keep check on the whereabouts of my son. I am undecided about taking such a step. I would like to know if anybody here has experience with such devices. Do they work and are they really needed?

I am posting this to check if anybody else shares our sentiment or are we over-thinking the situation. Any feedback will be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Satish

I agree the incident has shaken millions in our country.I wonder how safe the parents of same school must be feeling before sending their kids.

GPS tracker is just an option in case emergency happens. And it is not a perfect solution for kids safety. Rather taking precautions to avoid such mishaps would be beneficial. First thing you can do is to educate your child how to tackle such situations. Observe his surroundings such as society where you live and school he is in. Check if the security is up to mark at school and society. Do not allow kids to talk to strangers. That would help pretty much.
